Pretend that it is early 2012, and you are a twenty-five year old Southern Sudanese man or woman living in Pittsburgh, PA. You fled Sudan as a “Lost Boy” or “Lost Girl” during the Second Civil War (1983-2005), attended high school and college in the US, are unmarried, without children, and making a living wage at your first job after college. The South Sudanese government, aware of your American educational training, offers you a fully-salaried administrative position and invites you to relocate to South Sudan on a permanent basis.
