Using all you have learned this semester you will use Canva Links to an external site.to create a recruitment poster or video for Sociology101.
Create a free account at Canva.com
Then apply sociological terms and concepts to create a poster that will excite students about Sociology. Do not recreate textbook speak. The goal is to get students like you excited about sociology. You might start with your own interests and see how sociology applies.
A quick Google results Links to an external site.page had several images but they are too busy or boring. Your goal is to create a simple and directly worded poster to convey the importance and fun of sociology101. Negative messages will earn a failing grade.
Choose a design style and a sociological perspective (Conflict, Functionalism, Symbolic Interaction) for your poster. Your perspective determines your focus and working.
Your one-page poster or 10 second video message must include reference to or explanation of:
1. Three sociological concepts (refer to your vocabulary),
2. At least two colors,
3. An explicit focus on something in society, a theme.
