Description
Create an Infographic
Present your organic molecule using an infographic. (Recall that you created an infographic for an element earlier in the semester – you can review those examples here. You may wish to review the constructive criticisms you received on your Element post to make a better infographic.)
Components your infographic must include the following for your molecule:
Common name -acetylsalicylic acid
Systematic/IUPAC name (“formal” name)
Molecular formula
Structure, shown in at least TWO different ways (ball-and-stick model, line drawing, structural formula, and/or space-filling model)
Identify all functional groups present on your molecule (circle or point to each and label – see example in Resources section below).
Significance of your molecule (what it is used for or where it is found in nature)
One interesting fact (could be related to history of discovery; use; unique chemical or physical property; any other fact about your molecule you find interesting) – label as an interesting fact in some way
At least one photo that represents your molecule, its use, or its significance (this must be in addition to the structures shown – you are allowed to be creative here!)
